Michael N. Curran, Managing Partner
Michael Curran founded Curran Partners, Inc. in 1989. He has successfully conducted executive search assignments in a broad range of sectors and functional disciplines. In the process he has developed professional relationships with a network of trusted executives who play a key role in identifying and reaching exceptional performers. With each new engagement that network is refreshed, refined and expanded.
In addition to his role in managing the firm and leading client assignments, he was elected in 2008 to the three-person executive committee of Eurosearch International (ECI Group), the global search organization of which Curran Partners, Inc. is the U.S. partner. As committee member he coordinates efforts to identify and connect with internationally-recognized leaders in a range of sectors, structures service for international clients, and ensures quality in cross-border executive recruiting.
Before entering executive search he pursued a career in consumer products marketing, including seven years with the Pepsi-Cola Company at headquarters in Purchase, New York. Prior to Pepsi, he was a marketing consultant with the Institute for Industrial Research and Standards (now EOLAS) in Dublin. He is a native of Ireland and holds B.S. and M.B.A. degrees from Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York.

Mary Ellen Russell, Partner
Mary Ellen Russell joined Curran Partners/ECI Group as Partner in April, 2010. Previously, she was a partner with Korn/Ferry International, serving clients in the global industrial market, transportation sector, and human resources sector and function. She led the cultivation of client relationships, managed a recruiting team and personally participated in the conduct of executive search assignments.
With more than a decade of international transportation business and human resources/risk management experience, Mary Ellen focuses on assignments across industrial and transportation market segments, logistics, import/export, and supply chain operations. In addition, Ms. Russell’s earlier career in the finance and healthcare industries make her uniquely qualified to branch out into these sectors on behalf of her clients. Mary Ellen recruits executives within all functions, including CEOs, presidents, and senior-level positions in operations, marketing, sales, finance, regulatory compliance and human resources, within both the domestic and international markets.
Prior to re-joining the search industry, Mary Ellen served as the vice president of human resources with CMA CGM (America) LLC, one of the world’s largest container shipping companies, where she was responsible for the organization’s human capital leadership and development. In this role, she led the strategic direction for organizational development, employee relations, talent management, recruiting and retention, succession planning, and executive coaching. Prior to CMA CGM, Mary Ellen was the chief human resources and risk management officer with a major North American trucking company. Earlier in her career, Mary Ellen was assistant vice president of human resources for the international division of Corestates Financial Services, a multi-bank holding company.
Mary Ellen is a native of the Philadelphia area and holds a B.A. in Organizational Development/Business Administration from Rosemont College.

Thomas J. Vos, Partner
Prior to entering executive search, Tom held executive positions in the business-to-business sector, with providers of information content and business services.
As president and board member of EDGAR Online, a provider of corporate information, Tom led the company from start-up through a successful IPO. Prior to EDGAR, he was chief marketing officer and head of seed capital investment with Bowne & Co., Inc., a leader in financial printing, marketing and business communications services. He guided the company's investment in EDGAR Online and played a key role in the start-up and early-stage growth of the company. His involvement deepened and eventually led to his joining EDGAR as president and director. Earlier in his career, Tom held marketing, strategic planning, and network engineering positions with AT&T and GTE.
Tom is a member of the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA). He holds a B.S. degree in physics from the University of Notre Dame, an M.S. degree in electrical engineering from Ohio State University and an M.B.A. degree in marketing from Pace University. He is a native of Minnesota and a member of the board of directors of the Discovery Museum, Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Whitney S. Dooley, Director of Research
Whitney began her professional career by joining the company in 1993, upon completion of her undergraduate studies. As head of research she plays an important role in analyzing industry sectors and companies, identifying highly-regarded leaders, and building profiles of their professional careers. A Connecticut native, Whitney earned a B.A. from Bowling Green State University, Ohio, and an M.A. from the University of New Hampshire.

Nancy D. Hintze, Director of Operations
Nancy changed from a career in teaching when she joined the company in 2000. She is responsible for the administative management of the business, including acquisition and operation of the support systems and other resources needed for efficient and successful assignment completion. She is a native of Houston, Texas, and holds a B.A. from Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah. |
